Chairman of the Board, Professionals' Financial - Mutual Funds and Professionals' Financial - Private Management
André Sirard has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Professionals’ Financial since January 2009.
He is also chairman of the board of Professionals’ Financial – Mutual Funds and of Professionals’ Financial – Private Management, in addition to sitting on the board of directors of Professionals’ Financial and of MultiD.
During his career of close to 40 years in portfolio management and wealth management, Mr. Sirard performed various functions with companies serving private clients and institutions. He developed a keen understanding of the issues related to customer service and business development.
Mr. Sirard acquired his extensive experience with different investment management firms such as Fiera Capital, TAL Global Asset Management (acquired by CIBC in 2001) and Desjardins Investment Management (merged with Canagex in 1994). From 2002 to 2005, he held the position of Senior Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer with CIBC Private Wealth Management.
Early in his career, he worked as a portfolio manager, strategist and economist for Sodarcan, National Bank of Canada and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
Mr. Sirard sits on the board of directors of the Saint James’s Club, in addition to sitting on its governance committee. He is also a member of the mentorship committee of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec and has led Professionals’ Financial’s Centraide campaign for close to 10 years.
Holder of a Master degree in Economics from the Université de Montréal, Mr. Sirard is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and a Certified Corporate Director (CCD). He is a member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec.
