Since 2009, André Sirard is President and Chief Executive Officer of Professionals’ Financial – Mutual Funds and Professionals’ Financial – Private Management and he sits on the board of Professionals’ Financial.
André Sirard joined Professionals’ Financial in January 2009 as President and Chief Executive Officer.
During his 35-year career in the investment industry, Mr. Sirard performed various functions with companies serving wealthy private clients and institutions. He worked in portfolio management (fixed-income securities and tactical asset allocation), customer service and business development, and held several management positions.
Mr. Sirard acquired his extensive experience with investment management firms such as Fiera Capital, TAL Global Asset Management (acquired by CIBC in 2001) and Desjardins Investment Management (merged with Canagex in 1994). Before joining the Financial, he held the position of Senior Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer with CIBC Private Wealth Management.
Early in his career, he worked as a portfolio manager and economist for a number of financial institutions, including Sodarcan, National Bank of Canada and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
Holder of a Master degree in Economics from the Université de Montréal, Mr. Sirard is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Corporate Director (CCD). He is a member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec.
