Vice-President, Private Management
As Vice-president, Private Management, Mr. Fortin is namely in charge of expanding the Financial’s service offer and developing a growth strategy for the Financial.
Mr. Fortin has extensive experience in financial services, having held various strategic management positions with Desjardins from 1997 to 2015 in the areas of business development, asset management and wealth management. In addition to earning an Executive MBA in financial services from the Université du Québec à Montréal, he is a Fellow, Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB) and holds a Financial Planning certificate from Université Laval. He has obtained the Fellow of Canadian Securities Institute designation and is a member of the Ordre professionnel des administrateurs agréés du Québec. He has been a member of the Institut Québécois de planification financière (IQPF) Board of Directors since March 2020 and served as Vice President from June 2020 to June 2022, and as President for the 2022-2023 term.
