Board Director
Éric Landry sits on the boards of directors of Professionals’ Financial and Professionals’ Financial – Mutual Funds.
Mr. Landry has extensive experience in the financial field, having held various positions in finance and credit with Desjardins Group and a major Canadian bank.
In recent years, he held the position of Vice-President Investment Solutions with Desjardins Group. In this capacity, he was responsible for the design, development and management of all Desjardins Group investment solutions, including mutual funds, market-linked guaranteed investments, guaranteed investment funds and annuities. He oversaw assets under management of more than $80 billion.
Mr. Landry served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Desjardins Investments Inc., manager of Desjardins Funds and market-linked guaranteed investments. He was also President and CEO of Desjardins Trust, with assets under custody of some $350 billion.
He was a member of the executive committee of Desjardins Financial Security (DFS) and has more than 35 years of experience at Desjardins, including some twenty in management and executive positions.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree (BAA) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (finance) (MBA) from Université Laval, with honourable mention for academic excellence. He also holds an Advanced Executive Certificate in General Management from Queen’s University, Ontario. He holds the Certified Corporate Director (C.Dir.) designation.
Mr. Landry was a member of the investment products advisory committee of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) and sat on the board of governors of the Conseil des Fonds d’Investissement du Québec (CFIQ) and the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). He worked on the steering committee of the Trading Rooms of Laval University.
He is a member of the board of directors of Gestion Finodi inc. and Chair of the investment committee.
